Messy eater!

This is what happens when I am left on my own with a yogurt!

Abbie's party

My niece Abbie was 2 a couple of weeks ago and we were invited to her party. I had a great time playing with Alfie, Charlie, Abbie and Harry. My favourite part was having a party tea. Mummy picked me lots of delicious things to eat and I sat on the floor and ate them really nicely. I liked watich Abbie blow out the candles on her cake, and played pass the parcel for a while, but I got a bit bored before the game finished!

I am a PC boffin!

I am getting increasingly interested in the computer and try and grab at the mouse and the keyboard at every opportunity! The other day I managed to get hold of the mouse and I had all sorts of boxes and screens appearing! I guess I will be a whizz on the computer, just like Harry is!

My first advent calendar!

This year I have my first advent calendar (Mummy said I was too little last year!). It is very exciting as not only is it a Night Garden one (I love watching In the Night Garden) but it has little chocolates in. I get very excited when we open it every morning!

Putting up the decorations!

A couple of weeks ago we put up our Christmas decorations. I was very eager to help as I was too little last year! I wasn't very good at hanging things on the tree, I tended just to rest things on the branches (and they kept falling off!) but we had fun! Mummy was a bit worried that I would keep touching the tree, but I haven't been too bad! I got stuck underneath it a week or so ago, but most of the time I tend to leave it alone.

I am (FINALLY) walking!

Over the last couple of days I have amazed Mummy and Daddy by walking more and more. Yesterday I was growing more confident and I could walk between the sofas, and also a couple of steps anywhere else before falling over. Today, Mummy took me to ToddleAlong and she couldn't believe that I was walking everywhere. Sometimes I did 20-30 steps before I fell, and that was usually because I had found a toy that I wanted to play with. Everyone at ToddleAlong thought I had been walking for a while, but Mummy had to explain that I wasn't even doing it this good yesterday! Goodness knows how good I will be tomorrow! Auntie Tammy will have to buy me some shoes soon! Aren't I clever (at 16 months less a week!)
(I think all this walking has tired me out as I have been incredibly grumpy this afternoon and didn't stop crying for more than 5 minutes at a time. Mummy is keeping her fingers and toes crossed that I am not going to be ill again!)

My first haircut!

Mummy has finally relented and I have had my hair cut! (She did say that once I was walking she would have it cut so I didn't look like a baby anymore!) On Sunday we went to Nanny's house and Auntie Sarah came up. I was sat in my high chair and Auntie Sarah snipped away. I didn't even make a fuss since I like having my hair brushed and played with! Everyone up the school has commented on how nice it looks and old I look now!

Possession Issues - part 3!

Once again I find myself wanting to reclaim something that used to be mine! This time it's the bumbo chair!
Now that Maddie is holding her head up really well, Mummy got the bumbo chair out for her to use. However, I decided that I wanted to sit in it and somehow managed to wedge myself quite nicely into it! Getting out was a different matter and I got quite frustrated that when I tried to crawl away the bumbo chair came too!

Cool dude!

When Harry had his friend to tea last week, they were playing spys and wearing sunglasses to pretend we couldn't see them!
I wanted to play as well!

Cheese again!

In Mummy's continuing quest to ensure I like cheese, she got me a creamy cheese dip thing with bread sticks (not really expecting me to like it!). However she gave it to me and left me for a few minutes and came back to find that I LOVED it, and was using my hands to try and scoop the cheese out I was that keen!

Bonfire Night

Since I was poorly (and the weather was terrible) we didn't go to any fireworks this year. However, Daddy bought us some sparklers and I liked watching Harry play with them.

Daddy even held me so I could watch the sparkler close up!

Poorly (again)!

Just after Halloween I started being poorly again. I had a horrible cough and cold and on friday night I started getting a temperature. Mummy gave me lots of calpol and calpofen but couldn't keep my temperature down. On Sunday Mummy and Daddy took me to the GP on Call service at Frimley and the doctor there said I had a chest infection and gave me antibiotics. (We took Maddie too as she had a horribel cough but the doctor said the infection wasn't on her chest). The medicine starting working by Sunday evening but it took at least 3 or 4 days for my cough to subside! I hate being ill and am very grumpy and just like sitting on the sofa watching Nite Garden. I am much better now and Mummy hopes that no one is ill again in our house for a while (Daddy caught it and Mummy had a cold but so far Harry has escaped it).

Halloween!

We celebrated Halloween a couple of weeks ago. I was feeling a bit poorly so couldn't really enjoy myself too much, but I did look cool in my "Hoppy Halloween" top Mummy got me (me and Ray were twins as he had one as well!).

I enjoyed playing with the decorations Daddy put up in our toy room, but was very upset that I couldn't go trick or treating with Harry, Charlie and Maddie (if only I was walking!)

Dressing up!

Unlike Harry, I have never really liked wearing hats or dressing up. However, since Harry was enjoying himself with the dressing up clothes last week, I thought I would join in.

My long hair - part 2!

I think Mummy is keeping my hair long so that she can practice putting it into ponytails and pigtails for when Maddie gets bigger. Look what Mummy did to me last week!

Pancakes

Mummy made us delicious pancakes for our breakfast last weekend. They were lovely and I managed to eat 3 or 4 before I got full.

Possession Issues - part 2!

Not only am I having trouble giving up my bouncy chair, I have all of a sudden become very interested in my old crib (that Maddie has now got). I think however, I am a little bit for it now!

Walking just a little bit!

Last Sunday, I really surprised Mummy and Daddy by walking a little bit. I tried lots of times to walk across the lounge, and one time I managed 7 steps before I fell over. However, since then I have not been quite so interested and only manage two or three steps before falling down and crawling to my destination (it is much quicker!). However, Mummy is impressed that I am beginning to get my balance and confidence to try walking. (Mummy has bet Daddy however that I won't be walking before his birthday - we'll see!!!)

Alfie and me!

Alfie came round to visit a couple of saturdays ago and we had a great time playing. He didn't try and beat me up this time (Michael and Kim think it was because I wasn't wearing red!!) and we had fun playing with the big box of cars.
We had great fun, but I think we might have made a bit of a mess!

Mummy's Birthday!

A couple of weeks ago, it was my Mummy's birthday. I bought her a children's cookery book (because I know how much she likes cooking for us!). I enjoyed eating her birthday cake, and before she went out for the evening with Daddy, we had our photo taken.

Bedtime story!

Now that I am getting a bit older, Mummy or Daddy try and read me a bedtime story before I go to bed (although sometimes when Mummy is at work I watch the Night Garden instead!). My favourite book is called "Puppy goes shopping", and is one of Harry's old books. It has only got 4 pages, which Mummy and Daddy know off by heart, but I like the pictures and turning the pages!

My long hair!

Mummy has been resisting me having my hair cut for a while now, as she thinks once it's done, I won't be a baby anymore! (However she did let Auntie Sarah trim my fringe to get it out of my eyes!). Daddy is getting increasingly concerned as he seems to think I have a "mullet" although Mummy begs to differ!

I don't think it will be too much longer before Mumy gives in, but at the moment, my hair is wild once I get out of the bath!!

Water baby!

Harry and I always have a bath together, which is great fun. I LOVE to splash, and usually get Harry, and whoever is bathing me soaked. (When I have a bath at Nanny's, she wears an apron and shower cap!) I am a proper water baby! (I'm not that keen on getting out though!)

Cheese please!

For my lunch, I now usually have lots of little bits and pieces which Mummy puts on a plate (and it usually takes me at least 15 minutes to eat so she gets a bit of a break!). I am not that keen on cucumber (although Mummy gives me that almost every day as she is determined that I will like it!) however I love crisps and crumpets. I have also been getting lots of different types of cheese, which I don't like very much. However, Mummy gave me some Edam a couple of weeks ago and I LOVE it!

Possession issues!

Now that I am a big boy, Mummy has given my bouncy chair to Maddie for her to sit in. (Harry used it before me, so our chair has done well!). However, I am having a bit of a problem giving up my old chair, and try to sit in it at every opportunity, especially when Mummy wants to put Maddie in it!

Poorly!

Last week I was really poorly. Mummy took me to Runabout last wednesday, and although I enjoyed myself I wasn't my normal happy self! That night I was really sick in my cot (twice!) and needed two baths and two clean sleeping bags. I was really sad on thursday and friday and spent most of the day sat on the sofa with Mummy watching the Night Garden. I also had a fever on friday, but Mummy thinks that was due to my MMR rather than the bug! I perked up a bit on Saturday, and was okay on Sunday (but still a bit pale!). It is only really today that I have got my appetite back! (Mummy and Daddy were poorly as well - Harry and Maddie escaped it though!)

I got very attached to Mummy whilst I was poorly and am still a bit clingy now (which Mummy finds a bit difficult to cope with when she is trying to cook our tea!)

Nasty jabs!

I was supposed to have my jabs a little while ago, but Mummy cancelled them as we were going to Pagham for our holiday and she didn't want me to be poorly! Since the Jarvis Centre still hadn't got back to us with an alternative date, Mummy made an appointment for me to see the nurse and have my injections as she didn't want me to get too behind!

Last wednesday, Harry and I both had to go for injections. Harry went first and was very brave and didn't even cry. When it was my turn, the nurse decided to do the 12 month injection in one leg and the MMR in the other. Mummy was not expecting this! Since it wasn't the proper immunisation clinic we had a different and much slower nurse doing the injections. She took ages inbetween each one and I had calmed down from the first one when she jabbed me again. I did scream very loud!
I was still grumpy when I got home!

Helping out the front!

Harry had a couple of Inset Days last week, so Mummy and Daddy were busy out in the garden trying to tidy things before winter. Harry then decided that he wanted to practise riding his two-wheeler! Since I am STILL not walking, I had to sit in the buggy and watch since it was too wet and muddy for me to crawl around!
I wasn't very happy about it!

My nephew Alfie's birthday!

My nephew Alfie was one last weekend so we went round his house to see him. He got loads of presents and I really enjoyed playing with them. Mummy and Daddy bought Alfie a "number one" balloon which was great fun as well.
Only problem was, I think Alfie woke up in a bit of a bad mood because he kept grabbing me and fighting with me! I didn't cry though, I just kept crawling away as I didn't know what all the fuss was about! And Mummy says we normally play so nicely as well!

Thomas PJ's

Mummy saved a lot of Harry's clothes from when he was a baby so that I can wear them! These Thomas PJ's were one of Harry's favourites and now I love to wear them!

First Words!

Even though I am still not walking (not that Mummy is worried or anything!!!) I have started to speak. I have been shouting random noises for a while now, but for the last week my favourite word has been "mum meeee". I can usually manage to say this at least 100 times a day and mummy answers me every time! The other word I can say is "juice" (even though I drink water we call it juice!). Mummy finds this very useful as I can ask for a drink now when I am thirsty!

Mummy and Daddy think I am extremely clever!

My nephew Alfie

Last Sunday my big brother Michael came round with Alfie. There is about 10 weeks difference in age between me and my nephew Alfie so we get on really well. (Although in saying that Alfie is walking now, and has been for a while so I think I have some catching up to do!!)

Climbing!

I am getting ever more confident in my quest to walk! I am now a very speedy crawler and can climb stairs in a matter of seconds if someone is stupid enough to leave the stair gate open!

On Sunday when we went to Nanny and Grandad's for brunch, I played with Harry's toy garage in the garden. However, I noticed that since it has 3 floors, it would be much more fun to climb up on it instead! Mummy said that when Harry was my age it would never have even entered his head to climb up on things. I'm obviously much more mischievious!!!!

My friend Ray

Last week my friend Ray came to play. We get to see each other nearly every week which is great! Mummy has known Ray's mum since before Harry and Ellie were born (so over 5 years now!) and they both timed their second pregnancies well so that we would each have a playmate of a a similar age!!!!!

Ray likes playing with my toys (and I like his!) and we both like eating biscuits! Ray has got fed up with his dummy now,(although he in this photo he looks like he likes it!!) but much to mummy's disgust I am still quite attached to mine!!!

My brick trolley!

Now that I am nearly 14 months old, Mummy thinks that I really should be walking! In an effort to help me, she got me a brick trolley to push.
The trolley does tend to go very quickly, so that I end up almost running, but I am getting better.
The bricks are good fun to play with as well!

My friend Oliver!

I have a friend called Oliver who is 4 days older than me. Mummy used to go to school with his mum, and they got in contact last year via Facebook. We try and meet up with Oli (and his brother Matthew) whenever we can as we really like playing together.
Oli is very clever and he is walking now and into everything! When he came to play last week he showed me a new trick. He climbed onto my rocking chair and was able to pull lots of DVD's off our unit. I have been practising this ever since!!!

My rocking chair!

Nanny and Grandad gave Harry a rocking chair which has been in our family for a long, long time. (It was made by Grandad's dad and Mummy used to use it when she was little).
I like sitting in it now and it is the perfect size for me!

Haven Holiday

A couple of weeks ago, we went to Haven in Chichester for a caravan holiday. Although I had a good time with Harry, Maddie, Abbie and Charlie, I didn't really like sleeping in my travel cot.

I had to sleep in the lounge with Harry and Daddy and I liked waking them up at 5am every morning as I could see them through the sides of the cot! As I woke up this early every morning, and didn't have nice long sleeps during the day, I was really tired by tea time. I nearly fell asleep eating my tea one night (in the picture above!)

I love my walker!

Ever since I was 6 months old, Mummy has been putting me in my walker. I love it!

I am now really good at zooming around downstairs, opening cupboards, taking the fridge magnets and banging into people's shins (usually Mummy's when she is cooking tea!).

I am really going to miss my walker when I can finally walk (which Mummy doesn't think will be too much longer now, since I can now stand on my own and walk along the sofa!)

My New buggy

Now that we have Maddie, Mummy and Daddy had to buy a new buggy to fit us both in. Daddy wanted to get a tandem one as he thought it would be easier to push around shops and things, (although I am not sure Mummy agrees with this!!)

When we went to Paultons Park at the end of August we got to try out the buggy for the whole day for the first time. I like sitting at the front and get to see everything whilst Maddie has to sit behind me. When it started to rain we even got to try out the raincover. However, I wasn't so keen on this and kept trying to get out!
